Newsletter Article Submission Specifications
Would you like to contribute to our next statewide newsletter?
If you have a recent article or blog post that you would like to be considered for inclusion in the next edition of On The Agenda, please forward this to [email protected]. We are interested in anything that advances knowledge in the profession. (Please, no advertorials.) Our members are hungry for information that they can use in day to day practice as well as anything that can enhance clinical skill and proficiency. Of course, if you have more than one that you would like to submit, we can always consider them for use in subsequent publications.
On the Agenda is distributed electronically to our entire membership four times per year: March, June, September, and December. The deadline for article submission is the 15th of the month prior to publication (Feb 15, May 15, July 15, and Nov 15.) Please also be sure to include any attribution information you wish us to include for your article.
Purpose and Content
- Articles must be educational in nature and relevant to chiropractic practice in New York State.
- Submissions should not be promotional, advertising focused, or product centered.
- There is no fee associated with submitting an educational article.
- All submissions are reviewed by our newsletter editor, and acceptance is at the editor’s discretion.
Length and Format
- Target length: approximately 600 to 1,000 words.
- Articles should be submitted in DOCX format, when possible.
- Longer articles that have been published elsewhere may be considered for partial reprint, with a link provided to the original publication for readers who wish to continue.
Originality and Reprints
- Original submissions are encouraged.
- If the article is a reprint or was previously commissioned or published elsewhere, the author must confirm that appropriate permissions have been obtained and that reprint rights allow republication in our newsletter.
Attribution and Citations
- Authors are responsible for providing accurate citations and necessary attributions for any quoted material, data, or referenced sources.
- Please ensure all references are clearly listed within the manuscript or in a short reference section.
Images and Graphics
- Authors may include royalty free images they would like considered for use with their article.
- Images should be submitted in PNG format, when possible.
- Images should be high resolution and accompanied by any required credit or attribution information.
- Submission of an image confirms that it is free to use and cleared for publication.
Review and Editorial Process
- All submissions are reviewed by the newsletter editor.
- Acceptance, editing, and placement decisions are made at the editor’s discretion.
- The editorial team reserves the right to make minor edits for clarity, length, and style while preserving the author’s voice and intent.
