Lumbar spinal stenosis—the narrowing of the spinal canal—presents a pivotal choice. Lumbar spinal stenosis is a challenging condition for all practitioners. The anatomical finding on an MRI is common but often does not produce any clinical symptoms. There are many others in whom it does, and it is up to the practitioner to determine the specifics in each case.

In this course, we will cover the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of patients with back and leg pain, establishing a management strategy, and identifying factors requiring referral and case coordination in an interdisciplinary environment.

Updated Mandated Reporter Training Requirements amended Section 413 of the Social Services Law requires the New York State Mandated Identification and Reporting of Child Abuse and Maltreatment/Neglect coursework to include the addition of guidance on identifying an abused or maltreated child when such child is an individual with an intellectual or developmental disability. The law requires that every person who is required to take the mandated training related to child abuse, including those who have previously undergone this training, must complete the updated curriculum by November 17, 2026.
