The NYSCA is saddened to notify the Association's members, friends, and professional family of the passing of Dale Cohen, DC, MSHSA, MBA.

If you missed this past NYSCA convention at the Mohegan Sun Casino and Resort (March 10-12, 2017), you missed great speakers, a fun environment, and an opportunity to hear two dynamic presentations by Dr. Fabrizio Mancini.

The NYSCA just completed its 2017 Spring Convention at Mohegan Sun.  We had a great lineup of speakers, an exciting agenda at our Board and House meetings, and together we reignited the spark that will lead to a brighter future for NY chiropractors.

National Chiropractic Health Month 2016 Kicks Off Oct. 1

This October, doctors of chiropractic across the country will raise public awareness of the availability of non-drug options for pain treatment as part of National Chiropractic Health Month (NCHM) 2016. The campaign, a response to the U.S. epidemic of opioid overuse and abuse, will use the theme and hashtag #Chiropractic1st (Twitter, Facebook) to encourage the use of chiropractic and other conservative forms of pain management, where possible, before the use of prescription opioid pain medications. A toolkit is available online at www.acatoday.org/NCHMtoolkit for anyone who would like to participate.

(Lewiston, NY)- Dr. Sherri LaShomb is packing her bags and gearing up for her next exciting venture; she’s heading to the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio as the Athletic Trainer & Chiropractor to the USA Taekwondo Team.

The NYSCA is committed to the Unity process and looks forward to working toward that end with the Council. Regarding the Council's recent release, we regret that the Council paints the Unity process in a negative light. There are several issues that need to be resolved and we are confident that can be achieved. The NYSCA looks forward to future Unity meetings and finding compromise.  

Allow doctors of chiropractic to form partnerships with medical doctors!

The New York State Chiropractic Association needs your help.  A4391, sponsored by Assemblyman Daniel O’Donnell, and S215-A, sponsored by Senator Jack Martins, would amend the limited liability company law, the business corporation law, the partnership law and the public health law to allow doctors of chiropractic to form partnerships with medical doctors.
