Inflammation: Friend or Foe

Presented by: Howard Benedikt, DC MS DCBCN
Wednesday, October 12, 2022 | 1pm-2pm (1CE)

Many patients seen in a clinician’s office present with symptoms consistent with low grade inflammation. These symptoms may include joint pain, anxiety, fatigue, brain fog, asthma, allergies, skin disorders and digestive distress. Inflammation is the body’s response to stimuli and its purpose is to identify and eliminate the invader and restore homeostasis. When inflammation is not resolved it may have a destructive impact on surrounding tissue. Understanding the mechanisms of inflammation and understanding ways to restore general health and well-being should be the goal of every practitioner. In this presentation we will explore inflammation and give clinicians the tools to resolve it and maintain overall health and well-being.

Howard Benedikt, DC, MS, DCBCN, is a graduate of National College of Chiropractic. He returned to NY in 1976 to begin practice, and maintains his private practice in midtown Manhattan. In addition to his practice, Dr. Benedikt serves as a postgraduate faculty member of Northeast College of Health Sciences and is an adjunct professor at Berkeley College in New York. He has published numerous articles both for the public and the professions on health, diet and nutrition. He served as the radio host of "Alternatives", heard throughout the metropolitan region for over nine years, and has been a guest on numerous radio talk shows and on television, discussing the latest information on health, diet and well-being.
