Speaker Announcement: Dr. Warren Hammer will present “Necessity of Fascial Manipulation® in a Chiropractic Practice" at the New York State Chiropractic Association (NYSCA) 2024 Spring Convention!
Dr. Warren Hammer energizes his audiences with a wry sense of humor and personal experiences from more than 50 years. Although his lectures are steeped in evidence-based information, he shares his personal experiences with soft tissue and articular situations that he states, “science has not caught up with yet.”
Five years ago, Dr. Hammer became certified in the use of Fascial Manipulation© after spending two weeks in Italy under the tutelage of Luigi Stecco, PT. Fascial Manipulation has been taught in Europe for the past seventeen years and in 40 countries last year. As of 2013, he has been a certified instructor and introduced this treatment method with Antonio Stecco, M.D., into the U.S.

How is the topic you are presenting at NYSCA 2024 relevant to today’s chiropractor?
Most practitioners concentrate their treatment on the site of pain. Most chronic conditions are compensating for a previous injury, surgery, or stress to their body. It is necessary during a history to determine possible connections. The fascial system is the chief connective system in the body. That chronic low back pain may be caused by an old ankle sprain or fracture, etc.
What first made you interested in this topic?

What practical knowledge or skills can attendees take away from your presentation?
Participants will learn that a global approach is necessary to prevent recidivism. Areas close to the spine can be causative of chronic spinal problems.
