Now Is The Time! Free Webinar: Workers’ Compensation and Auto/No-Fault Made Easy How to get paid faster!
As many of you are aware, we will be required to submit our workers' compensation claims and clinical documentation in an electronic format. Most (if not all) clearinghouses who work with commercial carriers and Medicare do not accept No Fault and Workers' Compensation Claims.
The NYS Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) has a list of XML partners (clearinghouses ) who have met their rigorous requirements. Of the 14 groups interested in becoming certified as clearinghouses by the NYS WCB, only 3 have been approved to date. Only 1 group, Carisk Intelligent Clearinghouse, is also approved for all 4 types of transmissions to the WCB.
As such, the NYSCA has been working with Carisk Clearinghouse who specializes in both No Fault and Workers' Compensation electronic claim submissions. Many of you are familiar with Carisk's integration with Eclipse practice management software.
Although the WCB temporarily delayed the January 1, 2020 electronic submission requirement, now is an excellent time to become familiar with the process AND to begin your submission of no fault claims electronically (providing you with proof of submission while saving you time, mailing and printing costs).
