Dr. Sherri LaShomb, DC, ATC Assigned as the Athletic Trainer & Chiropractor to the USA Taekwondo Team for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio!

(Lewiston, NY)- Dr. Sherri LaShomb is packing her bags and gearing up for her next exciting venture; she’s heading to the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio as the Athletic Trainer & Chiropractor to the USA Taekwondo Team.

Meeting with Dr. LaShomb at her practice in Lewiston, you could see the excitement that she has for this achievement and also the experienced journey she has taken to get to this point. Dr. LaShomb has always had a passion for athletes and their overall health and wellbeing. That passion gave her the drive to use her craft on a larger scale.

Since 2002, Dr. LaShomb has been an International Certified Chiropractic Sports Science Practitioner and is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner . She is known nationally and internationally as a sports specialist in Chiropractic health care and has extensive clinical experience as an Athletic Trainer & Chiropractor at competitive games around the globe.

Representing the USA at various Taekwondo competitions, Dr. LaShomb was the athletic trainer and chiropractor at the Pan American Olympic Qualifier earlier this year, as well as the Pan American Games, the World Cup Finals, World Championships, and World Poomsae Championships in 2015.

Excited to once again be joining the Olympic realms, Dr. LaShomb’s prior Olympic experience includes chiropractic care at the USA Track & Field Olympic Trials (2008, 2012), the Winter Olympic Games in Utah in 2002, and the Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996.

As she orders the supplies that she needs for the USA Taekwondo team, Dr. LaShomb realizes the wonderful opportunity she has to represent her practice and the Western New York region. Congratulations to Dr. Sherri LaShomb on this exciting journey!
